The SouthernAfrica Black Mining Association (SABMA), a membership organization that seeksto advance black entrepreneurs in the mining sector in Southern Africa,supported by various government departments and the private sector will be hostinga premium development financing and networking golf challenge titled The SABMA Mining Equipment and Financing GolfChallenge 2023 scheduled to take placeon 09th November 2023 at the prestigious Blue Valley Golf Estate in Johannesburg, Gauteng, where government and industry players in themining resources sectors, plant hire, petroleum, manufacturing and investment willchallenge each other in a game of golf.
SABMA’s main role is to advance the interest of black entrepreneurs,suppliers and professionals in the mining industry, from junior and emerging miners, to established players in the mining sector. SABMA has a board of diverse professionals in the mining space who have a combined experience of 50years. These professionals range from mining experts, engineering professionals,training to finance, so as to assist struggling entrepreneurs in the miningsector with capacity, from the equipment required, to professionals’ skills and finance. SABMA has further established partnership to support these entrepreneursin mining through its Plant Acquisition Programme (PAP) to assist them toacquire plant and other assets in order to mine effectively.
The SABMA Mining Equipment and Financing Golf Challenge 2023, is a golf challenge designed to encourage our member entrepreneurs, stakeholders, investors and private sector organizations to interact with key stakeholders in the mining, equipment and financing sectors through a game of golf and networking dinner. Participating organizations will be further required to stick to our format of the game, that encourages networking, where at least a mining equipment, petroleum, government or investment executives should be invited to be part of almost every fourball.
The SABMA Mining Equipment and Financing Golf Challenge, themed “Mining Equipment Acquisition through Developmental Financing”, will be attended by an exclusive field of 100 golfers. This will be a Four-Ball Alliance which will tee off at 10am Registration will kick-off from 9am, a tradition that works well with the clear morning summer skies of Johannesburg, which will be followed by an afternoon networking experience, which includes as pecial photo session that will take place when golfers winding down before heading to the Prize Giving Dinner. This provides a great networking experience for golfers and special guests attending the dinner.
The prize giving dinner will be held in the evening, wheregolfers will be awarded fabulous prizes. The CEO of MEMSA has been invited todeliver a keynote address amongst other notable guest speakers during thenetworking dinner, where he will unpack opportunities under the theme “DevelopmentFinancing through Smart Partnerships”.
This is a charity golf day experience intended to raise funds for an orphanage home in Alexander, where an auction will be held during the prize giving dinner, with valuable items from the mining industry. Your company is invited to participate in this enterprise developmental initiative that seeks to advance the acquisition of mining assets and resources through smart partnership for entrepreneurs in mining.
Blue Valley is a hidden gem, situated midway between Johannesburg & Pretoria on the N1. This Gary Player designed 18 hole championship golf course is unique & a really wonderful course to play. Playing fees are very reasonable & affordable & 5 star experience awaits any avid golfer. Guests are most welcome. Course is only closed on Mondays. The course is "carts only", friendly & playable by any standard of golfer.
